After LeBron James made a comment on the recent killing of a 16-year-old black girl, Ma’Khia Bryant, another casualty in the long list of blacks getting killed in the United States, a pub owner in Ohio, Jay Linneman wrote on his Facebook that he wouldn’t be airing NBA games until Lebron is expelled.
According to the owner of the Cincinnati’s Pub owner, NBA players’ opinions do not really matter and should just stick to playing the game. Read his statement below:
“If anyone wants to watch an NBA game, don’t come to Linnie’s Pub,” Jay Linneman, owner of Cincinnati’s Linne’s Pub, wrote on Facebook, according to MSN. “We will not air them until Lebron James has been expelled from the NBA.” Linneman also reportedly said that he thinks NBA players “just need to play the game and that’s it” and that “their opinion doesn’t really matter.”
Lebron who had on twitter posted a photo of the officer who shot the 16-year-old with the caption “YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY,”, on getting wind of the news responded via his twitter handle with a satirical comment in quote below:
