Delvis Kasaloo Kyanga (born July 14, 1994), professionally known as Jonstar Official, is a Tanzanian television producer, film editor, motion graphics designer, and blogger. He currently serves as a producer for ITV Tanzania, one of the leading television stations in East Africa. With over eight years of experience in the media industry, he has established himself as a versatile creative professional at the intersection of technology and mass communication.

Early Life and Family

Delvis was born on July 14, 1994, in the Iringa Region and was raised in the commercial capital, Dar es Salaam. He is the youngest of four children born to the late Kasaloo Kyanga, a legendary Congolese-Tanzanian musician and songwriter renowned for his massive contribution to the East African music scene.

Education

He pursued his higher education at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), where he studied Journalism and Mass Communication. To complement his media expertise with technical skills, he also underwent Information Technology (IT) training at the University of Dar es Salaam Computing Centre (UCC).

Career

Music Production

Before transitioning fully into mainstream media, Delvis had a brief but notable stint as a record producer. During this period, he collaborated with various artists across Tanzania, Nigeria, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. His early musical archives and productions are hosted on the global audio platform, SoundCloud.

Media and Television

Delvis has been an active figure in the Tanzanian media industry for over eight years. In his current role as a Producer at ITV Tanzania, he specializes in:

• Film Editing & Post-Production: Crafting high-quality visual narratives.

• Motion Graphics: Designing animated visual assets for broadcast.

Personal Life

Delvis is a person of faith who openly attributes his journey to his belief in God. In his private time, he is an avid enthusiast of PC gaming and classic animation, with a particular appreciation for the works of Hanna-Barbera and John R. Dilworth. He is also a music lover and a culinary enthusiast with a preference for seafood.
